"We absolutely loved our stay here! We loved the atmosphere of the hotel, it felt like a good in between of a hotel and a ryokan. Then Onsen was amazing, I highly recommend going when they first open to avoid crowds during peak hours. The beds were probably my biggest complaint, they were not the most comfortable but they were not bad either. We did not have any of the food at the restaurant, we always went somewhere local. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Kyoto train station and there is a bus 2 blocks away that takes a direct route to downtown Kyoto."

You can leave luggage in a secure area for free after check-out in case you have time to roam around. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth it. "
