「We were here for a quick one night stay, arrived late so were bummed we did not have more time to enjoy the space. There were only two of us but this would be a really fun and easy place for a family or two to stay. Very convenient, comfortable living spaces, games, TV’s, kitchen, and bathrooms, everything you could need. Charming old house with the quirks we are used to as we also have an old house. Yard looked nice too. Very convenient location and responsive host. Thank you!」

「This was our second year in a row staying at this place for the Unbound gravel race in Emporia. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy, but the screen porch is our favorite place to hang out. It’s located on a short culdesac close to the lake, so there’s no traffic buzzing by. It was a great base camp for our cycling adventure.」

「Lovely house with beautiful views! It isn’t fantastic for toddlers because it’s hard to babyproof, but great for all other ages! Very close to a park and the river walk, good amount of space, very nice and clean. Host was responsive to messages and very friendly. No onerous checkout chores or anything!」

「We can't rave enough about Black Thistle! It provided the perfect setting for both our rehearsal dinner and getting ready for the big day at Brunswick Ballroom, just down the street. The venue's ambiance was incredible, and we even took our wedding photos there – they turned out stunning! We absolutely loved the combination of the dark wood and black accents」

「We needed a place that could accommodate our family that included 3 of our grown children and their spouses. This propertyfit the bill! Bedrooms were spacious and clean. Muliple bathrooms made it easy for getting ready to go out. The outdoor grounds were well kept and made for pleasant walks in the mornings and evenings. Host was quick to respond back with any questions we had. Would stay here again.」

「Te pool being in the courtyard surrounded by trees added a very comfortable feel to the pool area. The quietness of the whole area, even with the major roads and highways near by, was relaxing.
