“Polite and helpful customer service. Clean and cozy. The breakfast is very good especially the fish. The only draw back is the WiFi - as it is free, its bandwidth is limited, so a bit slow and unstable.”

“Stayed in their twin room, which was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had a full bath and shower space. The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful. We also ate at the pub restaurant and very much enjoyed the food. Big portions! It has convenient parking around the back of the pub which was a bonus. The only thing to be aware of when booking is due to the age of the building, some of the corridors and stairways are a little narrow, so just be aware of that for very……

“Hotel is very basic. Would not recommend it for anyone that is used to a comfortable hotel. Not even a hair dryer nor AC. Least good hotel I have ever rented on Booking! It has loud road noises, frequent trains, banging doors and quite warm in the room. I cannot fathom that anyone could give this place a higher rating than 6 or 7. On the positive side is there is electricity and soap in the bathroom and it is relatively clean. The lady that runs the place is quite pleasant.”

“Typical older British hotel, adequate but not up to modern standards. Room and bed were comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff pleasant. Car park is around the back and is fine but it isn't that easy to find the way in. Peeling wallpaper in my bedroom was a low point.”
