"Helpful and friendly staff. The Onsen is very nice especially the outside area that you can hire. The beds were comfortable. Not a lot of space for storage of clothes and luggage in the rooms. The Japanese restaurant in the spa was good and affordable. The Chinese restaurant was good food. The hotel and rooms are dated and need a Refresh. Nice views of the surrounding landscape. 5 min drive to a town with supermarkets and restaurants."

"Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting Kawagoe with its historic 'Edo Town', as the nearest station (Matoba) is just two stops away. The very kind owner/host offers a comfortable place to stay with excellent hospitality and flexibility for not just solo travellers but couples and even small groups. "Very limited walking accesses to eating spots, even no varieties. In the room, well cleaned, quiet, nice bed, but very disappointed at the much expecting relaxing time in the public bath. It was not warm enough. "

"Was in town briefly for a wedding. The staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful. The room was satisfactory, though small by North American standards. Everything was okay - nothing stood out as bad. The staff were absolutely amazing though!"
