Great location and the sunset lounge is really cool. The food variety for breakfast and dinner buffet is okay but not a lot of variety from day to day. Main complaint is the charge for bike rentals and the pool is a little cold, but I was there in December (the windy cold season)

A Secret no more, wonderful experience throughout. The Secret restaurant was excellent, we ate there twice. Comfotable rooms, but could have done with a proper wardrobe and drawers. We were charged for accidently breaking a cup, which we not happy with.

Perfect stay on Con Dao

Had a very nice room with a soft bed. The spice restaurant offers a variety of Vietnamese food and good prices. The hotel offers small tweaks to make the stay even more pleasant, e.g., goid night chocolates with kind notes and loose tea :) Thank you the hotel and restaurant team for a good stay at your hotel.

The room cleanliness was superb & this was maintained throughout our stay. We really like the idea of being ecologically friendly with the changing of bed linen & towels on request only. The staff always has a smile & a good morning for us. The welcome platter was a beautiful touch. The very disappointing thing during our stay was lack of available sun beds by the pool & beds being reserved with towels & not used for the greater part of the day. I only managed to get a sunbed on our final day for a couple of hours in the late afternoon. As this was the last week of a very busy 3 week trip to Vietnam that was supposed to be all about relaxing by the pool with my book I was quite put out. Also at breakfast time it was sometimes extremely busy & hard to find a table. The staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with the amount of work they had to do & very often foods were not replenished in a timely manner & the coffee machines were often ‘out of action’ We also found the service to be lacking at the Spice Restaurant, after waiting 35 minutes to order a drink (it was not busy) & then told that our first 3 drink choices were not available ( which one of them was fresh coconut?????) Having said that the hotel itself is beautiful with fabulous views & we certainly loved our stay on Con Dao Island.

Nicely located generally well kept property. Staff were very good. Cleaning was generally good. Property is very tidy. Only downside is that the restaurant was closed on one night with no prior notification.

We had a great time thanks to a staff member named Anh who helped us to book taxis and find the best beaches. The beach outside the hotel is also very nice, and the Con Son prison museum is right next door.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Secret. We travelled with a 1.5 year old, parents and grandma. Everyone enjoyed. The rooms were great, clean and very comfortable. Food was great and service was exceptional. Con Dao was very interesting and relaxing to visit and the location of the hotel, close to the beach (we had the beach to ourselves because very few Vietnamese visitors would go to the beach during the day!) and short walk to many great cafés and restaurants in town. Looking forward to staying again!

Great stay at the Secret, friendly staff, they prepared our room early. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety. Dinner was just okay, better to eat in the town. The consierge, Anh, was absolutely fantastic, extremely helpful, great recommendations, she really went above and beyond for us, cannot thank her enough!
