Summer Trip

We loved the cabin! One of our favorite parts was tbe big deck with seating for everyone and the view 😍 The pool was a little farther than what was said, but overall we enjoyed our stay! We will for sure book this cabin again.

Lazy Bear Lodge is beautiful and spacious, perfect for family gatherings. The thoughtful touches, like providing basic staples, were appreciated. However, the location is more remote than expected. The pool, advertised as 5 minutes away, is actually a 17-minute drive and closes at 7 PM, not 10 PM. Furthermore, reaching Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg requires a 30-minute drive to a main road, followed by an additional 30-40 minutes to the destination. The 5-mile drive on steep, narrow mountain roads takes significantly longer and can be challenging, especially with limited visibility. While we enjoyed the lodge and its beauty, we wish we had been aware of the actual distances to nearby attractions and amenities, as the seclusion makes quick trips impractical.

Complete home

Very complete home with all cooking essentials we had a minor issue with bugs that were alive in one of the bedrooms and property management said that it was normal and having bugs in one of the bedrooms is not normal. Home was clean overall except for that issue with that one room. It just needs pest attention considering the areA. but overall its a great family home and super spacious photos dont do justice. Place looks way better in person. I would give it 5 stars but the bug situation in one room didn’t get taken Care of during our stay. DEFINITELY BOOK THIS PLACE you will HAVE UNFORGETTABLE FAMILY TIME MEMORIES.

Difficult check in and property not prepped b/f arrival

We unfortunately had a very difficult time with check in. Our door access code was never received, so when calling upon arrival and after trying to send messages through VRBO, and receiving nothing, we were stuck with no way in. After failed attempt number 1 we called back again, just to stay on the phone for another 30 minutes, but finally to receive an access code. Heat was not working on one side of the house for the entire stay, even after reporting they were unable to get someone out to fix it. The house was not prepped for our arrival, heat was set to 55 on arrival, and there were hundreds of lady bugs everywhere. We spent a good hour sweeping and vacuuming them up, just to have them there the entire trip flying in our food and drinks and hair. To say they were aggravating would be an understatement. All this to say that the house is beautiful and exactly as advertised. We just had multiple issues within our stay. Which I feel reflects poorly on VRBO and the property management team for this property.
