"Property is being renovated so there is construction going on. Parking lot was full of containers but there were places to park. Elevator during the day was busy with construction workers. This was about the only inconvenience. Our room was very nice and the work seemed to be on upper floors so there was not any noise, just the elevators during the day were a bit of a wait. Great location downtown. Front desk staff was young so they couldn't really recommend much downtown."

"We spent the night at Read House on our way home from SC. I had read about the hotel and it's resident ghost in the past, so ....of course, we had to stay! The hotel is one of the most beautiful that I have stayed in. The history of the site is an added bonus. We took a tour of room 311 and had the most engaging guide. I totally recommend a stay at this hotel!! You must explore the hotel and the grounds along with a tour of 311. Our room was beautiful, the bed super comfy, and the staff amazing. Can't wait to stay there again."

As a woman traveling with my granddaughter, that was very important to me. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious, not overpriced, and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again if I make another trip to Chattanooga."
