“All round excellent value. Hostel Alex went above & beyond. Let me use their water hose to wash my car and glass cleaner as well. Clean and modern suites. I highly recommend the place.”

“Since having children, I've never been happier with a place to stay as we have here. Great value for money (we stayed in a two bedroom apartment), nice pool area, so close and easy walking to three supermarkets, local food spots, and shops. The room was well cleaned, and friendly staff. Great vibes...we weren't bothered at all from the current renovations of the bar and restaurant...will definitely be staying again 😀😀”

“This is a classic Kiwi motel, complete with original 1970s features. I hope they never change it. The owners are lovely and kind. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with everything you need for your stay. It was quiet and peaceful, in a great location, looking out at the river yet very close to the centre of town. I’m so glad I stayed here. ”

“Chilled-out place in a quiet little village — super peaceful and comfortable. Only 30 mins to Turoa and 45 mins to Whakapapa, so it’s a great base if you’re heading up the mountain. Great value and perfect for a relaxed trip! ”
