This is an extraordinary place, it is a working farm the restaurant offers a 0 km menu. The bar serves a I’ll be made on the farm that is rated internationally in the top 50 dunkel buy a couple of organizations

Nice clean rooms and good breakfast in a former monastery, but unfortunately the place has lost its religious aura and spirituality; it has been transformed into a secular center where various groups offer educational courses. Rooms had less wood and more concrete than expected. The church had strict opening hours and was only accessible with a museum ticket. Definitely not a place inviting for meditation or prayer, as it had been intended when it was built. Electric cars can be charged at cost if you bring your own cable.

Un rêve de chartreuse

Court et agréable séjour dans une très belle chartreuse, dans un environnement de jardins et de verdure exceptionnel. Chambres petites, mais très bien conçues, avec terrasse donnant sur parc. Literie parfaite. Succulent déjeuner composé seulement de produits du monastère. Personnel charmant et serviable. Seul bémol: le prix élevé.

Übernachtung im Klosterähnlichen Stiel

Die Kartause Ittingen liegt voll in der Natur. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein aber zweckmässig ausgebaut. Der würfelähnliche Kubus im Zimmer enthält Dusche, Lavabo und WC. Habe ich noch nie so gesehen ist aber vom Platz her optimal gelöst. Leider war unser Fenster auf die Zufahrtsstrasse gerichtet. So hatten wir bis der letzte Gast im Restaurant weggefahren ist länger Fahrgeräusche bei offenem Fenster. Schade, sonst war es für eine Nacht ideal gelegen.

Wunderbar gelegen! Am Morgen war das Buffet schon 40 Minuten vor offiziellen Schluss (und 1h vor Schluss für unsere Gruppe) praktisch leer und wurde nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Das war recht schade.

Kann alles wärmstens empfehlen. Fasziniert hat mich der hochmoderne Ausbau des Zimmers. Die Lage des Hauses wunderbar. Restaurant perfekt. Service, Personal sehr freundlich. Essen könnte nicht besser sein. Werde sicher wieder einmal hier die Seele baumeln lassen. Besonders erwähnenswert das tolle Verhalten des Hoteldirektors in einem von mir unnötig ausgelösten Problem.

Ein ganz besonderer Ort

Zum ersten Mal besuchte ich die Kartause Ittingen, von der ich schon viel gehört hatte. Es ist ein einmaliger Ort von grosser Kraft, den ich gerne wieder und wenn möglich für längere Zeit besuchen möchte. Besonders beeindruckt war ich von der Führung durch das Museum und das ehemalige Kloster.

Nicht familienfreundlich

Der Service war professionell, aber nicht herzlich. Das Zimmer war für eine Familie absolut untauglich, denn dieses Hotel bietet nur 2er-Zimmer an und wir sind eine dreiköpfige Familie. Ich musste auf dem Boden schlafen und bei diesem Preis erhofft man sich schon etwas mehr.

Sehr ruhig und idyllisch. Das Zimmer war schlicht und modern eingerichtet. Grundsätzlich guter Aufenthalt, aber auch etwas stark abgelegen und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht ganz gegeben.

Leider kein Ort der Stille

Leider fand im Hotel an diesem Samstag in einem Nebengebäude ein Hochzeitsfest mit unerträglich lauter Musik bis Sonntag morgens um 03 Uhr und anschliessem Gejohle und Gesprächslärm im Innenhof durch die Hochzeitsgäste bis 03.30 Uhr statt. Schlafen war an diesem (eigentlichen) "Ort der Stille" (notabene einem Kloster-Hotel) nicht möglich. Vom Hotel wurden wir zu keiner Zeit darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass in dieser Nacht ein solch lärmiger Anlass stattfinden wird. Bei unserer Reklamation in der Nacht war nur ein Nachtwächter zugegen, welcher nichts gegen den Musiklärm ausrichten konnte/wollte. Erst nach eindringlicher Intervention wurde uns die Uebernachtung in Form eines Gutscheins nochmals gewährt. Aus diesem Grund bei Service, Lage und Umgebung nur niedrige Bewertung - ohne einen solchen Anlass wäre wohl nichts zu bemängeln gewesen.
