Great home base for DC vacation!

We spent a week at the condo. The 4 minute walk to the Metro made our week of DC sightseeing an easy commute. The condo was quite comfortable for our family of 3.

This is an absolutely perfect location for doing all the tourist Washington DC things. We ate at a different place every night, most of it was within walking distance, and the neighborhood feels very safe. The unit itself was nice. It is advertised as sleeping 6, but there's only table seating for 4. There were only 3 coffee mugs and no child friendly cups or plates. There were 6 towels - luckily there is laundry because we had to use the same towels for the pool as we did for our showers. Wish we could give 4.5 stars.

We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment was clean, cheerful and comfortable. The building was quiet, clean and easy to access. Overall, the comfort and convenience of this property was outstanding!

It worked relatively well with some caveats

The location is fine. It’s pretty accessible to the subway and restaurants as well as a Target and CVS. The condo is relatively clean. When we came in the toilet seat was broken. I reported it to the owner, and he responded. However, after 1.5 days of it not being repaired, I cancelled the repair order as I repaired it temporarily. On day one the tv did not function properly and by day two it fixed itself. The sink drain in the bathroom could not be closed off as I generally use it while shaving. Minor inconvenience. On day three at about 8am we were awakened by someone above us who sounded like they were hammering. The ceiling near the a/c vent was dark with either dirty, dust or mold. We went to use the pool area which was closed! The area around the pool was also very dirty while garbage all over. Cleaning lady came in at 9:30am without knocking on our last day. The bathroom needs more towels and places to hang them. Garden tubs should have pull bars to gain access. For the money I expected the amenities to be cleaner and opened as advertised. I also expect the place to be fully functional. I think we are due something back but whatever.
