“While I appreciate Edinburgh was busy due to a big music concert, the marathon and it being a English Bank Holiday weekend, the hotel were clearly charging a premium which wasn't deserved!
For the price, I've experienced significantly better accommodation throughput the world.
Some of the opportunities :
- poor water pressure in the shower
- washbasin was cracked
- headboard was tatty and deteriorated
- brown stains on the net window curtains
- no complimentary bathroom extras

“Very interesting older building. Quite a few stairs to bring luggage up to 3rd floor. First room was an attic room but it was quite big enough. Staff were obliging when I requested a room on a lower floor when i came back for a second stay. I also got breakfast included on second stay. It was lovely full Scottish breakfast too.
