"The hosts, Anne and Billy, messaged us beforehand with helpful recommendations on places to visit in Skye, which was much appreciated. The accommodation had everything we needed – it was clean, tidy, and very welcoming. The views from both the bedroom and living room windows were absolutely beautiful.
Fairy Glen was just a few minutes’ drive away and definitely worth a visit. We stopped at the Co-op in Portree for some food, but found it quite expensive. Rankin’s, which was only a few minutes from where we were staying, is a better option in our opinion—I'd recommend shopping there instead. Just a heads-up: since the accommodation is out in the countryside, the lane leading up to it has quite a few potholes, so take care when driving."
"The cottage was just a pictured - quaint, well appointed, cozy, and quite. Our hostess was very pleasant, providing us a warm welcome and suggestions for dining and visits.
We wanted to be a bit out of the way as we visited the Isle of Skye and this location/cottage checked all boxes. It was not located in Portree but close enough for groceries, dining, etc. We chose to stay in most nights and the kitchen provided a wonderful array of equipment/dishes to cook meals for ourselves at night and in the mornings.
No 4 put Isle of Skye on our top places to visit - providing the comforts of home while enjoying the splendor of nature the island has.

"We had a wonderful stay at Tides Uig. The pictures do not capture how beautiful the view is from the home. We also loved the daily visits from the local sheep. The space was perfect for multigenerational group. We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We also appreciated that basic supplies that were provided. The location was perfect with just a short drive to many locations on Skye, but away from the business of Portree. We had a wonderful dinner at the Uig Inn and two locations within walking distance for breakfast and lunch. We wished we had planned more time at Tides! "
"This was a beautiful rural property with lots of character. the road in was a single lane road with lots of potholes, but once entering the property the driveway was great with easy parking. rooms were large on a courtyard configuration. On site restaurant served excellent food and staff was outstanding . The complimentary continental breakfast was awesome and a lot more then we have experienced in other establishments. An outstanding stay and will highly recommend."
"I simply can not say enough good things about this place. From the wow upon arrival to the sadness of having to leave. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent. We stayed 4 nights and went on many adventures while on skye. We had a wonderful time!!"
