Bay Inn

"I booked a two night stay at the Bay Inn when I decided to extend my vacation,on the recommendation of my sister, who had stayed at Bay Inn several times.My room was absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable.I had a great view of the bay from my window!The room had great soundproofing, so despite being next to a busy road,I was able to sleep well.I didn’t eat the breakfast so can’t comment on that.The staff was friendly and very helpful when I needed some quarters for the washer and dryer.I would definitely stay at the Bay Inn again!"

"First of all, the staff at the reception desk were very friendly and efficient. Our king room facing the beach was clean and comfortable with a very comfortable bed and excellent view. The property is rather dated but efforts have been made to update colors and furnishings, though I'm glad we didn't have to use the sleeper sofa because the springs were sagging and it was even uncomfortable to sit on. The location is excellent. It's easy to walk to restaurants and stores and many interesting sights are within a short driving distance. The beach is great for children with two sand volleyball nets for those that wish to get more exercise."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of this hotel and the cleanliness as well. The shower was lovely, and there was no mold anywhere in the bathroom. The room did not have any unpleasant odors, either. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool or hot tub or have breakfast. I would definitely go to this Super 8 again. "
Quiet, Simple, and Surrounded by Trees Au Sable Backwaters Mio

"The cabin's in a good location for getting out on the AuSable or exploring the area. As others mentioned, it's not really in the woods, but tucked into a heavily wooded area with a bunch of other homes/cabins, sort of a cottage area feel. That said, the neighborhood is off the beaten path and fairly quiet, even during the daytime hours, but especially at night. The cabin itself is cozy, enough space for two or three if using the futon. The bathroom is larger than it looks, but note that the interior walls don't go all the way to the ceilings (including the bathrm), so "privacy" is a little less so. :-)The kitchen had enough stuff to suffice, and all the essentials were well-stocked. The parking was not as cramped as others have suggested, it's sort of a circle drive. If you have multiple vehicles (we had a full-size pickup and SUV), you may just need to shuffle spots if you don't want to back out of a rather snug entrance. Not a biggie at all.Our host Beth was great and very responsive. A pleasant stay all around."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a big room with a king size bed. It was the last room in the back. We were so far from the hot water tank we didn't realize it took a time for the hot water to reach our room until we were told this. The room was clean and updated."
Cozy cabin with backyard stream close to Au Sable River and the best ATV trails

"Mark and Dawn were easy to work with especially since this was my first VRBO rental and I had a lot of questions. The cabin is cozy and clean and the bubbling brook is so relaxing. We enjoyed our stay!"
Cottage right on the AuSable River in charming Mio

"Really amazing location on what is effectively a lake because of the dam a couple miles down river. We arrived on a Monday and didn't see another person on the water the whole day, though Tuesday and Wednesday saw a little boat traffic. The paddle boat was defunct as far as we could tell, but there were two kayaks, which we prefer. The hot tub is nice, with a string of lights to plug in in the evening and a great view of the lake. We enjoyed Mio and made use of the Hinchman Acres boat rental to take an 11 mile trip (the shortest they offer!) down the Au Sable, but we enjoyed our time paddling around the "pond" just as much."
