“Not good overall”

“The breakfast was excellent, there was a little confusion with finding parking outside of Wellington Lodge, parking was limited, it was hampered my another hotel resident and thier bad parking. My room in Wellington was comfortable no problems. Staff i met were welcoming and professional.”

“Overall is excellent. Wonderful service but room only available after 14:15 which is a bit delayed from the check in time. Room is neat and bigger than I expected. However, fridge is not available in the room so whoever planning to stay there must be alerted.”

“I have stayed at this location several times and found the staff to be exceptional. Food quality was good and we enjoyed drinks from the bar. The only issue is the public parking which I found confusing to my expense. The manager as well as Kelly and Sahar were helpful and friendly.”

“Whilst the staff and facilities were good, I was disappointed with the food. I had the coronation chicken terrine starter.which had a large piece of chicken skin in it. The staff offered me a replacement which I declined and they did not charmed for it. I later asked if I could have fresh fruit for dessert which the said would be available for breakfast. At breakfast the only fresh fruit available was watermelon. I may be picky but I feel that these minor items should be catered for.”

“One of the most beautiful building and gardens. It felt like being at a national trust, not just a hotel because the grounds are so well thought out and looked after. Outfoor Pool area is gorgeous but some bits need a bit of an extra clean or facelift- the rim around the pool had gone green and some features looked slightly dated or cluttered. Our room was nice and big (Mansion house superior) but I think it's hit or miss which room you get. Ours looked a lot more dated in decor compared to……

“The hotel was quite booked up, so we had 2 rooms over a 3-day weekend and our baggage was transferred with no fuss or problems. Both rooms were clean, roomy and contained everything we needed, including a much-needed fan as the weather headed for a heatwave! Breakfast was lovely (we had a full English). The staff and the manager, Peter, were very friendly and helpful and made sure we were feeling happy about our stay at all times. A very nice place to stay while we visited one of our sons who……

“We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in……
