Fantastic location ...a few minutes walk from train station and 5mins to huge car park that is free from 6pm to 8am. Really good breakfast...best I've had for ages...food was piping hot and staff were happy to top up juice, tea etc & bring anything more we wanted. Much nicer than fighting at a buffet! Can't recommend this place more highly... we're going back!

Perfect location! I have a solo room with sea view and the view did not disappoint!!! Basic small room but it's all I needed and great for the price. Kettle, Tea, coffee etc in room. Breakfast was fantastic - cooked options like full English and bacon/sausage/egg sandwiches, beans on toast, as well as crossiants, fresh fruit, cereals. Juices tea and coffee. Lots of roads nearby that are free parking, if no space there are carparks local too :)

Small single room, Clean, Comfortable bed Plenty of tea coffee .Room cleaned bed made each day which was realy nice and towels changed twice in the 4 days i was there.Great sea view...Only criticism is the wardrobe is a bit old and big for room making space limited. But I am sure it will be replaced in time

Staff excellent, room ok , breakfast very nice. The host, Dean was unhelpful and obstructive when a big carrier bag filled with , crisps, popcorn, biscuits and chocolate was “ mistaken “ for rubbish and removed from our family room without a clear explanation. A refund of the cost was offered but I said thank you but refused as it was the principle of the matter as we were there for two nights and this was the first day. If we had checked out and left the premises it would have been obviously left behind and been a totally different matter. We would not recommend the Maiden Rest as the hosting was very bad

It was a good deal- room and bathroom on the smaller side but clean and functional, see view was amazing. Just a note- the road is very busy and noise from the cars can be heard quite a bit.(in our sea view room) Breakfast was great- the only thing we found a bit disappointing is the coffee(nice strong cup of coffee would be nice). Overall - nice and easy for what we needed
