“Clean, cozy spot really close to historic central York. Parking was really easy and free on the main road. Excellent, fast communication with host.”

“A lovely, clean and modern house, with everything we needed for our short stay. A 7 minute cab ride to the centre of York. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Just a heads up - the bathroom is downstairs, which we didn't notice on the listing, so our fault not the host's, but just to mention in case anyone is concerned about having to go downstairs in the night for the loo!Would happily stay again.”

“It was a lovely stay in a lovely location. A car is essential when staying here. I have one criticism. Whoever stayed previously obviously brought a dog that smelled. The odour was strong and pungent in the lounge and despite us ventilating the room it was still present when we left. Apart from that the cottage was fabulous. Thank you too for the welcome pack.”

“Overall, we had an okay stay, but I feel the property was overpriced for what it offered. The location was convenient, around a 30-minute walk or 25-minute bus journey into York city centre. Having on-site parking was a real bonus, as was the nearby supermarket. We also appreciated the baby gate on the stairs, and our children loved sleeping in the bunk beds. However, there were several issues that affected our stay. The property is advertised as a two-bedroom apartment, but in reality it has……

“This was an excellent property, immaculate in fact, plenty of storage ,everything was spotlessly clean, modern and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms , comfy beds, loads of storage again . Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !”
