Bear Lodge #207 in Whistler’s Town Plaza is a centrally located condominium property located on the border between Whistler’s Main Village and the Village North. Its central location makes it a very popular choice year round.

This one bedroom corner unit faces Whistler’s Village Stroll and has a balcony with patio furniture. Property amenities include access to a small gym and hot tub area and free underground and the unit has a gas fireplace, air conditioning, T.V. and DVD and a fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom has a Queen sized bed and the living room has a Queen sofabed.

It includes free wireless internet, a digital cable television package and free underground parking for one vehicle.

Bear Lodge is in a fantastic location right in the heart of Whistler Village—technically in Village North, but it’s an easy walk to everything, including Blackcomb Village. The convenience of being able to step outside and walk to shops, restaurants, and the lifts was a huge plus.We also appreciated the ski lockers on the main floor. Each room has its own locker and ours easily fit three sets of skis and poles, which made storing gear simple after a day on the mountain. The unit itself had great amenities, including free laundry, a full kitchen and bathroom, and a comfortable sitting area. The pull-out couch allows the space to accommodate four adults; like most pull-outs it’s not the most comfortable, but placing the mattress on the floor works well.One thing to note is that our unit was located above a popular bar and a main village intersection, so it can be lively at night and a bit bright in the room despite the blinds. Light sleepers may want to bring a sleep mask or sound machine.The listing mentioned a hot tub and the check-in sheet referenced it as well, but during our stay it was out of order, which was a bit of a disappointment.Overall, the location is excellent and the value for staying right in the village was great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

These properties need upgrading. Our condo was simply minimal. Noisey refridgerator. No real storage for two people. Minimal hangers in cupboard. Sofa worn down and hard to sit in. Nice people but not set up well. Garbage room was awful and filthy

Great location close to the mountain and plenty of dining options. Kitchen was stocked with the neccesary cookware and was nice to have to make meals. Would stay again next time in whistler for a ski trip!

Great location not so great unit

First thing we noticed was our white socks became black from the carpet. Counter and dishes had to be washed. Shower nozzle blasted water like it was exfoliating our skin. Simple fix but not fixed. Bed should be updated. We could feel the wire springs. Not good to sleep on. There was only one luggage cart with a pad lock on it. Time it took to walk ove get the key and return, it was easier to make 4 trips arriving and 4 at departure from unit.

Disappointed with old and worn out furniture

We were very disappointed with the old and worn out furnisher, the dishes and kitchen items were miss matched as well. We love Whistler and this location is great. Although we won’t be back to this unit. It is worn out and is not being taken care of. Very disappointing.

Really good except retrieving the key fob

Good, except getting and returning the fob. It’s about 20 min walk round trip and if you have luggage, it can be quite a chore. Maybe the fobs could be programmed to work only on the days rented and mailed to renter in a dropbox in the lobby of the lodge you’re staying at?

Cleaning

There’s stained mug and dishes in the dishwasher waiting to be washed, I need to rub those stains by hand before dishwashing. There’s Little Rock’s and dirt all over the carpet when we first move in. I need to vacuum it before use. The Bathtub was it so cleaned, slimy soap scum felt under our feet when we first use it. The laundry room is filthy. It should be more tidy. Otherwise, it’s a great place.

Great location

Awesome location in the center of the whistler village. Lots of space, easy check in process, good underground parking, washer and dryer was convenient, nice gas fireplace, wifi and TV worked well. Only thing that could be improved was the kitchen supplies could have been a little better stocked. So for example, only two small plates, two bowls, no mixing bowl or wooden spoon. Also, in the bedroom, you'll absolutely hear the noise of the village traffic. We were there on a rainy Thanksgiving weekend so it was less busy and you can definitely hear everything at night. For example if people are speaking loudly under the village gazebo which is right outside the room, it will disturb you. Other than that great stay and we would return.
