The Glenview Hotel And Leisure Club

The Glenview Hotel And Leisure Club

8/10 Good
"Nice property and facilities Additional Breakfast cost of £23 is very overpriced. They don’t open the coffee bar or snack bar until 10am which sort of forces you to have breakfast as the nearest cafe is some distance. Other than that, a good location and friendly staff."

The Glendalough Hotel

"Lovely OLD hotel but found staff and amenities scarce Breakfast was tasty but basic they could improve on bread options (brown bread was awful) and even though there is a lovely restaurant and cafe on the ground a simple tea and scone were not available Check out was 11 and we left our bags in a safe Locker but when we needed to collect them there wasn’t any staff on reception to open the room It took another staff member to make a phone call to get someone to help We just made our bus"

Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort

Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort

10/10 Excellent
"Rooms were spacious, and decorated to a high standard. Breakfast was delicious. A member of staff took us to a nearby village as we couldn’t get a taxi, which was very thoughtful. Food and drinks in the brasserie bar were reasonably priced. We had spa treatments and both enjoyed it, but the sauna and jacuzzi experience was a bit odd as it’s not properly connected to the spa and we had to use towels from the gym to shower after. The Fairways Restaurant was good but the food was nothing special and the price seemed very elevated. We preferred the meal we had in the nearby Ballymore Inn. Overall a lovely hotel with a great - although my fairly challenging - golf course"

"The room was beautiful with a wonderful view of the farmland all the way to the lake. Breakfast was delicious and Niamh even made sure we had a breakfast to go when we had to leave early for our flight. The bed was incredible comfortable and waking up with that view of the Irish countryside was magical, We highly recommend taking the walk down to the lake and saying hi to the donkeys, horses, and goats. All the animals were very friendly."

"Wonderful place. Really clean room, comfy bed. There is noise from the pub but they do turn it down at 10 (and it seemed at 11). It is in a residential area so they are considerate to neighbours and guests."

Delightful Tiny House with stunning views in the Dublin Mountains!

Delightful Tiny House with stunning views in the Dublin Mountains!

10/10 Excellent
"I can't say enough about how much I loved my stay. What an amazing property and unique opportunity to not only explore and experiment with life in a tiny home, but also to stay in a stunningly beautiful part of Ireland. If the walks around the nearby reservoirs - walkable from the property - aren't enough, some of the best hiking in Ireland is a mere 30 minutes' drive through beautiful landscapes and farmland. Glendalough is less than hour drive, with so much to see along the way.Pubs, cafes, and groceries are all within a reasonable distance. And it was very easy to get into downtown Dublin and the airport, which I did on multiple occasions. The amenities in the house itself were exceptional. Literally anything you could want or need. Quite a few great little treats were provided as well. And the shower was great. The sitting area outside is magical - a beautiful garden full of stunning flowers, decorations, and loads of birds.Lisa, the host, was exceptional. Very responsive with communications and requests, and she provided a wealth of information about the local area. She truly made me feel welcome and at home.I stayed in the home one night with my wife and one night with just my teenage daughter and I felt like we had plenty of space for two. Just bear in mind it is, as intended, a very efficiently sized space. All in all, I would consider myself to be fortunate to be able to stay there again if in the area."
