“Check in was quick & easy - I had booked a bell tent, but due to poor weather I was given a free upgrade to a shepherds hut - thank you very much. I had actually dropped my stuff of inside the tent, which was clean, airy and the bed looked well comfy. Very pet friendly & great views across the valley. You are right next to a busy B road, so do bear that in mind, but it's not too bad. The parking is a bit restricted, but plenty across the road. The kitchen, cooking area was good, simple, but……

“Why is the rating so low? Because the photos and the description do not match reality. The listing clearly states that guests have access to a BBQ (as shown on the website), but the real photos do not confirm the presence of any barbecue area. In our messages, we were informed at the last moment that there was no BBQ at all. The host even suggested that we could bring our own barbecue, which clearly shows that the listing was misleading. “We had a fab stay, the cabin was clean, tidy, fresh, and had everything we needed. Spec was high. Owner very helpful in allowing us to arrive earlier than check in, do we could put food in the fridge to cool and so we could set off on our bikes for the day.The hot tub was fabulous, especially after 30 miles on a bike and views to die for. The location was perfect for us, peaceful and quiet”

“Friendly welcome. Everything set up and ready for on arrival, including coffee, tea, milk, bread, butter & jam. The Hobbit House is tiny, but so well designed, and it just feels so cozy. Good size patio and gorgeous outdoor furniture, including chairs, side tables, table & benches, gas bbq and fire pits with logs. Really, just the perfect rural retreat. Pub (The Rising Sun) and local shop within walking distance. We're already planning our return!”
