Bus Route 555, for instance, offers a scenic ride between Lancaster and Keswick, passing through Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, and more. For trips towards Bowness, Kendal, or Newby Bridge, check out Bus Routes 6, 6X, and 599. And don’t forget Route 599, it’s an open-top service during the summer – perfect for soaking up those breath taking views!
Trains:
If you’re venturing further afield, Windermere train station is just a 5-minute taxi ride away (or 20 mins walk). With regular services to Oxenholme Lake District station, it conveniently links you with the West Coast mainline.
