"We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely family home, there was plenty of space and lots of outdoor activities. We really liked the pool however it isn’t fenced which would have been good to know in advance. There is a local vineyard, restaurant and a supermarket nearby. We would definitely recommend this large house to other groups wanting a quiet getaway. The hosts were extremely helpful and offered to help with anything we needed."

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The house has a great ground level, with a warm fireplace and space to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need. "Superb property, best we have stayed in (out of six). Well equipped with everything and more you will need, plenty of plates, glasses, dishware and cookware. Proper oven. "We loved staying on the big orange barge! It was cute and fun and peaceful. Very small, but well furnished. We even managed to cook dinner for 4 in the tiny kitchen, and we crowded into the wheelhouse to eat. We did not invite the guests to stay overnight though, that would have been too much! "The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"For a 2-star property, I give B&B Hotel Verdun 5 stars. It is a basic hotel, but a good stop for seeing the area, the battlefields and forts. The staff is very nice. FYI, there are stairs, no elevator. The rooms are not large, but they work for a 1-night stay. Breakfast was pastries, granola, yogurt, beans, mushrooms, toast. Juice, coffee, etc. Definitely good for a quick breakfast. This hotel is outside of the city center, but it does have several restaurants in walking distance. We walked right next door to the Buffalo Grill for dinner, and were very pleasantly surprised. We are Americans, and it was our first time eating "American food"in Europe. It gave us a good laugh, we had a great dinner, and it was nice to have this option so close to the hotel. "
