「This older hotel has extremely helpful front desk staff who speak reasonably good English. You can buy discounted lift ticket vouchers at the front desk. Many rooms have views of the slopes. It is not ski-in, ski-out, but a one-block walk to the slopes. The bus from Nagano leaves from the bullet-train station and arrives next door to the hotel (Ichinose stop.) 「I came to shiga kogen for skiing. The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area. Other than the location, all staff are very polite, patient and helpful. Some of the staff are able to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently.
