“It's an interesting old building. Decor in my room was dated but bathroom more modern and bed very comfortable. The main restaurant looks a bit Butlins but the food in the bar was excellent on both nights. My second night was ruined by noisy occupants of 206, starting at around 2:30 and they left at around 5:30. Not at all sure they were guests. Had to leave 1 day early and reported the above. No comment. Doubt I will return to Perth but would certainly consider staying here as the location is……

“Room was clean and comfortable, with double aspect windows. Bathroom was clean, large and well-appointed. There was a rather noisy sound of a motor running during the night, but we coped with that. Breakfast had a wide choice and was well presented. This is a really lovely hotel, set in beautiful surroundings. ”

“This was a last minute booking. We got our room for a very good price even by budget hotel standards. It was a no frills hotel but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the setting was so peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved exploring around the race course (not a race day) despite the weather. ”

“My room was lovely -no outlook. Bed was comfortable and room was warm. Breakfast was self service but very little choice. Just white bread no pastries /cold meats/cheese. No choice of milks or yogurts. Only had 1 breakfast and 1 evening meal. Sraff were very polite and attentive. ”

The front door opens to a wide variety of independent restaurants and cafes, galleries, theatres and museums in a pedestrianised area and lots of interesting independent shops including coffee bean roasters”

“Having read excellent reviews of Tayview Lodges, my wife and I arrived with great expectation and we were most certainly not disappointed. Our lodge, Little Lodge 2, was immaculate and in pristine condition. The spotlessly clean windows afforded uninterrupted views of the serene surroundings, the lodges being extremely well spaced out. The owners, Ross and Georgina were away for the duration of our stay but we were warmly welcomed by Georgina’s father, Duncan. The nearby towns of Pitlochry and……

“Stables 5 .Lovely cottage in a restored Steading set back from the road and close to the river Tay. Modern and very well appointed, with a small garden for dogs, warm and traditional - contemporary decoration with a french country feel. Wonderful bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. In fact, perfect for us.”

“There is no air con and the window cannot be opened. There is no curtain near the bath tub. No staff come to clean up after 11 am. Breakfast which costs 12.5 pounds but very few choices . Small hotel not quite the same as in the advertisement. ”
