"It was impossible to connect to WiFi and very bad reception from our room ."

"When first arrived, was put in a room, that someone had been smoking in, so saw reception and they changed it straight away. one night the lift broke, so asked if I could use the Service Lift, which I did, as I had 2 large heavy bags to carry up to Floor 4, Very Helpful Staff, thanks"

"The hotel was lovely great rooms and ideal location was really impressed with the value for money. However the member of staff at reception was extremely rude and really let down our stay."

"Well located hotel with good facilities, especially the swimming pool which my 2 daughters enjoyed the most. Family room was also a very good size, however up 2 floors without a lift was not ideal."

The music downstairs was a great atmosphere. Although we didn’t stay ti watch the entertainment it was full of watchers having a great time. "

"This is a lovely place to stay, even if you don’t play golf! Excellent pool and sauna/ steam rooms. The area is beautiful with a great view of all green nature. We’ll definitely go back for another visit."

"Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There 4 concerns of why I wouldn’t stay here again. 1. The hill to walk up the hotel is very steep and push a pram up it was painful. 2. The rooms don’t have A/C and get really warm, I can’t imagine what it would be like in the summer time. 3. The hotel only has one lift, the door opens and closes very slow and if the hotel is busy you have to wait ages for it. The lift is very small so very hard to get a pram and two people inside let alone a suitcase too. 4. In...

"Lovely hotel and the staff are fantastic the lady on reception when we checked in was so nice. Room was lovely and clean and good selection of teas and coffee. The jacuzzi bath didn’t work unfortunately and we found the bed a bit to soft for us but thats personal preference. We usually stay at the sister hotel across the road but actually prefer this one. Highly recommend and booking to go back in July for our daughters graduation."

"We loved the sea view in our room and the balcony. But I was ignored by two reception staff while waiting for over 10 mins, the second staff member didn’t acknowledge I was waiting. Plus house keeping walked in unannounced, when. "

"I stayed at the Carlton with my 9 year old daughter. We had a lovely time. As others have said, parts of it are a bit tired and some of the communal areas (particularly the outside terraces) were a bit grubby. But we found our room very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. To quote my daughter "the breakfast was awesome". The location was great, right on the beach, and a short walk to Bournemouth pier. I would stay here again. "
