Isle of Wight Historic Hotel

"Reasonably priced and clean room, with plenty of space (room 3). We even had a hint of a sea view. Bath fixtures could use maintenance; an adjustable height shower would be a great improvement. Bed was comfortable. It’s not a modern building so has plenty of charm but expect noise to carry - we could hear the morning deliveries, refuse collection, and the evening music. Catering is OK but nothing special. Located right near the ferry and other pubs in Yarmouth. Overall great value for money."

"Very friendly restaurant staff. Reception team efficient and very helpful. Asked us about a ramp for my son's wheelchair anytime we came in and out of the hotel. Afternoon tea was an excellent experience. Since covid this is the 1st place that did housekeeping which really made us feel we were on a holiday. "

"The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."

"Very conveniently placed for Carisbrooke Castle but alas I was there to work at St Mary’s hospital which was a short drive away. The landlady was very friendly and helpful."

"This is a family Guest house and we were welcomed and treated as well as any family could be. Zac checked us in and carried all our bags up to our room, Dad cooks the best breakfast ever, Grandad in the lounge was happy and friendly, and Melissa was kind and helpful arranging everything we needed.
