"Ideally located at Russel Square, one block from the tube and several bus routes, the hotel is truly in the middle of everything. London is huge. Traffic is terrible. Crowds of tourists are everywhere. Being in the middle means less impact by those factors when you want to go out. The breakfast buffet is absolutely first class. The only thing missing is a cook-to-order omelet station but the rest is so varied you really do not miss it. The coffee station needs to be upgraded. The bar is very inviting and adjacent to the restaurant. I only sampled a shrimp cocktail (really good) at the bar so cannot comment on the restaurant, but it looks nice. Rooms are small, but this is central London and a bargain in the location. In-room coffee is inadequate. Service & staff are responsive & professional. Highly recommended."

"The staff at this place went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. I wanted to give my kids an old fashioned bed & breakfast experience, and this place didn’t disappoint. Paddington Station very close, lots of food choices nearby. We even discovered St. Mary’s Hospital there, where penicillin was discovered. (There was a small museum there about it too). Only downside was there was only one electrical outlet we could find in the room, and no mirror near it, so drying my hair was a bit tricky, but they were kind enough to let me borrow a hairdryer for our whole stay. The communal bathrooms definitely get busy in the mornings, but they have quite a few. Thank you :)"
