「Location right across from beach is excellent . Door to room was very hard to open & close and badly in need of attention. One day the maids left the door ajar after cleaning and left it open all day until we returned back that evening. This was very concerning given that all our personal belongings were in the room and especially since there is not a safe in the rooms.」

「The location is great. However, the website is misleading. The rooms appear much nicer online and in pictures than in person. The “hotel deck” is poorly maintained, and depending on your room location can become a privacy issue. Also, if you’re on the second floor there is no tuning out of the footsteps from the rooms above. Definitely a past its prime spot that needs major overhaul and not worth the price.」

「Got this as a gift for our anniversary. This is really a wedding venue and most folks seem to stay for the wedding and are up late and making noise and then out the next day. We had a 2 night stay - no room cleaning service for the price. We were just around corner from reception which doubles as a wine bar in afternoon, hangout in evenings and breakfast bar in am. Place is somewhat old and so you hear everything. At 10:45 when they are still chatting at wine bar and then when revelers come...

「The hotel’s location is great, not far from main street. They also offer a free Shuttle bus to take customers to the busiest area in town, so, you don’t have to worry about parking ! We reserved a water view room. It had two big windows , one of the curtain is broken, and they said they are out of batteries, so can not fix it during our stay, so we had to keep it closed all the time. So we can not see the water view from our bed, also because it is too broken, it can not really block the...

「Gilded is a really cute hotel within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Newport. Staff is very helpful and considerate. Breakfast was delicious. Bed very comfortable. Gilded was one of my top hotel experiences- both personal and peaceful. We would love to stay again.」
