“Sunset Gardens was nice enough and I would stay there again, but it was not 5 star accommodations. If you stay at a fancy resort I am guessing you will not experience the idiosyncrasies of island life. We stayed 2 nights and really only slept and showered. The rest of the time we were out exploring. We did have a rental car and never had an issue with parking but it is limited (8 spaces approximately) and I think we were told there were 17 rooms total. I had trouble keeping a consistent……

“Secluded from the rest of the city, requires taxi, no ability to walk to nearby restaurants. No pool. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles were used. Towels thin. Old furnishings, flooring, and bathroom. Nice view of the bay. The hotel staff were very nice. Good internet. ”

“The owner responded quickly to any questions which arose. Check-in and check-out were easy. The view from the balcony is wonderful. It is a very steep and windy road to the place. Glad we arrived during daylight. This was our first time to St. Thomas and we did not know how mountainous it is. If renting a car, make sure to get one that can make it up the mountains. You'll need a smaller vehicle (not SUV) to park at this place. Pros: view, neighbors who lived nearby were friendly,……
