Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato
10/10 Excellent
"Nice rooms , the private outdoor bath was nice , and it does allow individuals with tattoos to reserve a private onsen."
Toyoko Inn Fuji Kawaguchiko Ohashi
8/10 Good
"Nice basic hotel with helpful staff. Good shuttle bus service. Rooms were Ok, the bed mattress was extremely firm (a little too much). Breakfast has limited options but it's Ok"
Resort Inn Fuyo
10/10 Excellent
"Really great place a must visit, local food and activities are great"
Kasuitei Ohya
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed one night at Kasuitei Ooya, and it turned out to be the highlight of our time in Japan. The ryokan gets the traditional experience right without it feeling staged — tatami rooms, yukata, and a real sense of care in everything. Our room had a lake view and a private bath, which our teenagers enjoyed as much as we did. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding: beautifully presented course after course with local ingredients we didn't see anywhere else on the trip, and breakfast the next morning was just as good. The onsen is on the 7th floor, and the same floor has a viewing area where we caught the clearest Mt Fuji view of our stay at sunrise. What tied it all together was the staff. From check-in through to the shuttle back to the station, they were warm, unhurried, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we asked. If you're deciding whether to build a ryokan night into a Japan trip, this is the place to do it."
Kawaguchiko Hotel
8/10 Good
"This is an older hotel with a good history and a great location right across from the lake. The staff is unusually good most hotels do not take your luggage to your room anymore so it still has it’s old good habits. I was very disappointed when I called it about 230 for the shuttle bus to the hotel. Took a while for them to answer the phone and then they said they couldn’t come until 3 o’clock because that’s when they start running the shuttle. That is not the kind of service I would expect from a hotel like this. I didn’t mention it when I was there, but the Internet was really bad. I couldn’t count on even getting my email out to my home and overseas in a reliable way. But if I had a choice, I’d probably go back again."
Dormy Inn Kofu Natural Hot Spring
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed for one night but everything was fine. The staff I met spoke English well and made things easy."

What is the difference between a 4-star and 3-star hotel in Otsuki?
The key difference between a 3- and 4-star hotel in Otsuki is the quality of service and access to creature comforts. Three-star hotels are usually lower priced and include the conveniences and services required to ensure your comfort, such as WiFi, a gym and breakfast. You can count on a little bit more at a 4-star hotel — think upscale interiors, premium bathroom products and perks like on-site spa centers.
What is the difference between a 3-star hotel and a motel in Otsuki?
Motels typically offer lower rates compared to hotels, which makes them ideal if you're road-tripping around Otsuki and sticking to a budget. A popular option for overnight trips, these roadside getaways have simply furnished rooms, basic services and on-site parking.
