"If you book a river view room, the view of the Narrows Bridge is spectacular. Rooms were old fashioned but clean with very small bathrooms. TV was small with no network channels. Beds a little tired but comfortable for one. There are a couple of restaurants that are walkable along the brick river path. Would stay again, an hour drive to Bar Harbor."

"We have stayed in many places around the area and this was our favorite by far. Description was spot on. Views are better than pictures show. We forgot a fly rod at checkout and the host was very helpful in getting it back. Will be scheduling another stay at this home."

"What a beautiful place! Amy was a terrific onsite host. This was our first trip to Maine, so she gave us some recommendations, which were spot on. We would have missed some lovely hikes if she hadn't told us about them. She also had many maps of the area which was helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed and the entire place was very clean. We enjoyed canoeing in the lake and star gazing from the dock. The flower gardens and entire property are well maintained and beautiful. Amy even brought us a fresh flower bouquet, which was very thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again."
