"An incredible experience! The Inkwell Suite is such a comfortable, modern, and warm room. Do yourself a favor and book this room!The Tempur-pedic mattress was extremely comfortable. Rental properties can feel like a gamble sometimes with mattress quality, but the owners of the Spofford Lodge spared no expense to furnish their rooms with high quality items. The bathroom is luxurious and spacious! A shower stall and separate bath is so nice! The heated floors and towel rack are such incredible amenities. The deep bath tub, along with candles and bath salts provided by the owners, was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day.We loved our stay and the owners went out of their way to make our visit comfortable and show us their care and high attention to detail. A stay in the Inkwell Suite will be worth it!"

"Imagine walking into a warm and cozy suite illuminated by Christmas tree lights and the reflection of Penobscot Narrows Bridge on the bay and freshly fallen snow AFTER a 24-hour flight delay. This was the welcome Lauri created for us when we arrived at midnight. We traveled from Florida to watch our son play basketball at MMA and even though we lost a day, the entire experience we had made up for it. "We stayed at this lovely home in Bucksport the weekend before Thanksgiving. The rooms are all comfortable and nicely decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen was perfectly appointed for us to prepare an early Thanksgiving meal for our family in the area. We were very grateful that the owners are so accomodating of pets. We were travelling with our dog and the layout of the home and other thoughtful gestures (pet covers for the furniture, dog waste bags if needed) really helped us (and him) to relax.The location is perfect, just outside of Buckport town center, 35 minutes from Acadia, and an easy drive to lots of beautiful locations along the coast.So many amenities that we didn't even use, including the hot tub, piano, turntable and album collection. Just an all-around excellent property and wonderful experience. We are highly likely to reserve again the next time we come up to Bucksport to visit family."
