“Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. ”

“Great location near the lake, beautiful terrace, bedrooms have carpet and are a bit old and could use a refresh. Overall good experience if you’re looking for an authentic stay.”

“For a 3 star hotel this ticks all the boxes great value excellent breakfast and a lovely set dinner menu that changes daily. Lovely friendly but professional staff and quiet location but still less than a 5 minute walk to town. You do need to book for dinner as this is a very popular restaurant. If I could find one fault it would be on a personal opinion only and that is that dinner service is to quick between courses but that’s because I like each course to go down before the next is served.……

“The room was quite clean and the instructions to enter the property were quite clear. Parking can be a little tricky as it gets filled up during night time outside the property. However, there are options to park your car nearby. Overall, the stay was great as the room was comfortable and clean with a great view.”

“The overall status of the hotel is nice, we arrived quite later at 1:00am, but the housekeeping starts knocking doors from 9:30 all the way to 10:40 (about 4 times) to ask people to check out... they really did what their boss told...”
