"Such a cute place, with tons of character! Old hardwood flooring, smells like an old school or library. Soothing. There's a bar on the first floor with live music; I definitely would have sat in on the blues performance that I heard on my way out one night, but my visit wasn't for my entertainment. There's also a rooftop bar and a Cuban restaurant, all part of the same building as the hotel - another inviting place I might have visited if I'd had time to indulge. The aromas coming from the restaurant were quite nice, though! The room was large, with a huge sectional sofa and TV in a living area, another TV in the bedroom. B/R closet was also huge, as was the bathroom (with Jacuzzi). The kitchen had a cute little fridge and a microwave. My only complaints: no dish towels/cloths or paper towels to wipe up with, so I used a wash cloth and small towel from the bathroom, and a couple of plates, bowls, and utensils would be appreciated. OH - and instructions for the microwave! I could not get it to set a power level, and all of the other preset buttons I tried did nothing, except for defrost. But I had no idea what units I was supposed to be entering. The bathroom is well-stocked with just about everything a person would need, but I bought some Charmin because I'm particular about TP. The door sticks. The staff is great, the people in the area are friendly and helpful as hell! I really enjoyed my time there, and will try to book a room here again if I have reason to return."

"My coming to this part of the St Johns River dates back to the mid-1950's with my Mom, Dad and Brothers on vacation. When I think of that small cabin, that was built out over the river, and how we managed to have fantastic weeks of fun and pleasure and then compare it to the astounding property we enjoyed this past week, with the massive, spacious facility that it provided.... I'm sure that if Mom and Dad could have experienced it, they would have been amazed. If you like Middle Florida, you'll love the Riverview Lodge!If you leave Riverview Lodge and you haven't got that feeling of peace and contentmentburning in your heart....well....your "Woods Wet.""

"Property is exactly as described, clean and furnished with all the amenities. Great place to relax and unwind. Short drive to the beaches, lakes and Orlando. Owner communication was excellent, no problems. Will definitely stay again next time I travel to Florida. "
