"The room was very clean and inviting, the bed was comfortable, large tv and WiFi was good. Although on a main road our room was quiet. Ample parking, the staff were friendly, the young lady in reception when we arrived was very helpful and informative. Although we never used the bar it looked nice and inviting. The breakfast was very nice with ample choice, the actual dinning area was lovely and spacious and once again very clean. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend and stay again"

"My third stay here whilst on business in the area. My wife and I had also eaten here a couple of weeks back whilst in the area, as we always do. Archie was very friendly and helpful at check in, as was his colleague behind the bar ( sorry ! I didn’t catch her name). I was in the Belle Suite this time, the room was lovely with all the amenities you’d expect - including a fridge, coffee machine and spacious, clean bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and once people and cars turning up or leaving the pub / restaurant had quietened down, a lovely quiet night. I’ll be staying again in a few weeks, this place never disappoints. Sitting by the river in the sunshine with a drink after my 4 hour drive was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you for another lovely stay. Dave RS"

"The staff were very helpful and lovely, me and my friends stayed here for reading festival and they were very supportive in accommodating us. The self cater kitchen is lovely and includes everything you would need, the lounge is a nice quiet area to relax and the rooms were decent for a youth hostel with clean bedsheets and bunkbeds! The area itself is lovely and quaint we were very happy to stay here especially since the train was only a 20 minute walk away."
