“The staff were very polite nd friendly. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a kettle with loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back ”

“This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area”

“Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.”

“A bit late here for a review, but stayed in late June. Friendly and accommodating to us who failed to read the hotel rules and had a couple of awkward moments with late arrivals and service needs! Really appreciated the homey, peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful authentic antique structure with just the right modern conveniences and Great access to our choice garden visits in the area. we would definitely stay again Thank you Julio! love the white Hydrangeas”
