2/10 Terrible

Awful, do not stay here.
The house looks and smells like it has been abandoned for years. There are stickers on all the doors, which look like they haven't been replaced since 1961. The 'master' bedroom had a bed with three dirty, old mattresses piled on top of each other, the other had a shabby, rickety sofa bed. The toilet is inside a dark cupboard. The kitchen is barely a kitchen, it's a hallway with a 1950's sink. There were electrical extension leads dragged across the entrance to power the Wi-Fi, which incidentally wasn't working when we arrived as there was no power to the house at all, and we couldn't get it to work. The property is managed by an estate agent who obviously couldn't care less about the property they manage, and they were less than helpful when we voiced our concerns with the property and refused to take any responsibility even for the lack of electricity to the house, which rendered it essentially uninhabitable. When we went to complain at the agency the day after, they said they'd contact the owner about the electricity. After 8 hours of waiting they advised us that we should have pushed a button on the fuse box, as if we hadn't tried that. There was no welcome pack, the only information booklet we could find anywhere in the house was a brochure of all the properties the estate agent has for sale in the area.
We ended up renting another property which was cheaper, had more rooms, and didn't smell like it had stood empty for ages. 100% avoid this hovel, it is not liveable.
