President's Cup

We stayed at Castaway while visiting for the President's Cup Lacrosse tournament at IMG. Great location, so close to the beach at AMI. We had a great meal at the restaurant on site. We would highly recommend this getaway!

Spring break family trip

The condo is decorated beautifully. The space was great for my family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked everyday and had everything we needed. I gave it a 4 on cleanliness because we did have to wash most of the dishes before we used them. There were cups put away that literally had sand in them. The floor had dirty shoe prints on the tile when we arrived. I dont think it was mopped by the cleaning crew before our arrival. The pool was heated and a favorite for my kids. The location is nice. I would stay here again.

Beautiful Condo perfect for entertaining

I had a surprise Father's Day dinner/ gathering in this beautiful condo for my 84 year old father. The condo had everything needed to comfortably and beutifully entertain and host my family gathering of 8. Everyone was able to fully enjoy themselves while there.

Very roomy for two. Close to Anna Maria Island and Freedom Boat Club if your a member. Cleaning crew needs to be taught how to clean stainless steel and electric cook tops but over all clean.

Top Notch Accommodations

The property was top notch. Accommodations were clean, inviting & the decor is beautiful. The beds were comfortable & the condo offered all the comforts of home. Lots to do in the area & close proximity to grocery & shopping. The only drawback was the traffic & the wait for evening dining on AMI but we stayed during spring break, the busiest time of the year. The restaurant on the property, Floriday’s, was great though. We loved relaxing in the screened in porch both mornings & evenings. The property owners have thought of everything. Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us. Highly recommend!

Nice property

The condo was excellent! The listing shows water views, however our condo only had the view of the pool. The rules stated that the pool closed at 9:00pm, but our key fob didn’t open the gates after 7:00pm our little boy was very disappointed. There are no supplies (garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels) bring your own!! The checkout list states to start a load of sheets, however there is no laundry detergent so make sure you have at least enough left for one last load before you leave. TVs are smart TV you will need your own streaming service. The price was a little high considering no welcome basket or essentials.

Huge, gorgeous condo

Castaways is absolutely lovely. Everything was in perfect condition, beds were comfortable, entry with access code was easy. We didn't ever cook there, but the kitchen is certainly well equipped. The pool at the property is wonderful. It is very close to beautiful Anna Maria Island. There are only two caveats I might mention. For one thing, the bottom ledge of the door to the patio is unusually high. I almost tripped the first time I went out. Second (and I'm sure this depends on the time you are there) traffic and parking on Anna Maria are insane at Spring Break time. It took us almost half an hour to find parking for the beach and for breakfast. If you plan to spend most of your time in Bradenton and thereabouts, you will be fine. If you want to spend a lot of time on Anna Maria, budget plenty of time to drive and park on the island. I am told there is something called the "Monkey Bus" that will come and pick you up and that might be worth trying. Even a taxi or uber would be better than trying to drive and park there. Please note: This is in no way a criticism of the condo, but rather something to keep in mind if you plan to stay there in the Spring.

Rule Book

Beautiful home with lots of throw pillows. Approx 8 on the bed, 6 on each couch inside and outside. Bed was comfortable, couches not so comfortable with all those pillows. Where do you put pillows when not in use? Min supplies, no shampoo, body soap, plastic wrap, zip lock etc. For 5 night stay - Given Only 1 trash bag , I roll paper towels, 1 sponge , 2 dishwasher tablets, ( silverware in the drawer was dirty and had to be rewashed ) 2 very small bars of soap . The rule book is quite extensive and intimidating. We had to catch an early flight, but as per the rule book, we had to strip the bed and put sheets in the washer and start ( they sat from 4am- 10am?) clean out the refrigerator, start the dishwasher, take out the trash to the compactor ( which is not very close to the building). We had to put back everything that was moved ( pillows) or face a charge? Rule book says turn off all lights , but lights were on when we arrived. Set thermostat at 76, but when we arrived it was set at 73. We did not use the pool area due to the lounge furniture being stained/ dirty and unappealing to sit on. All this and for the price we paid, I will look elsewhere next time .

Nice property at an excellent location

Overall very pleased with the property. It is new, so no worries about it showing wear or being less than pictured. The screened in area overlooking the pool was fantastic. The entire condo was very comfortable, but especially that patio. Minor glitches during the process of agree to rent - struggled getting emails with needed paperwork. This was a system issue, not intentional by the property management, and something they worked to fix. Small issue with checkin where the cleaning service did not leave us keys for use on the property. This delayed us a little, but again the property manager quickly fixed. I don’t know, but I’m guessing these are things that they are figuring out and will make better as the property gets rented more.
