Cute Place

Great location and cute place. The only thing bringing down my rating was the condition of the sofa bed. It was pretty bad. That said, if you aren't planning to use the sofa bed, then you don't need to worry about that!

Relaxation

Loved the serenity of this location. We opened the balcony to the sound of water flowing through the creek outside. The freash smell of pine tress was healing from the pollution of the city. The hot tub was soothing from the 52° temperature outside. Met a wonderful couple visiting from Texas. The brisk air after stepping out of the hot tub was brief, then stepped into a very hot sauna to warm up.

Not ski in/out

This is not a ski-in/ski-out property! We had to pay $40 a day for parking, which we hadn't planned for. Small kitchen, no sheet pan to bake with, steep stairs up to the unit. Big issue was that it was not ski-in/ski-out.

Great location but horrible otherwise

We have been renting a condo for our annual ski trip for 10 years. This was the first time we've ever had a bad rental. The management company was slow to respond and quite frankly awful to deal with. The apartment was not equipped with basics like towels or oven mitts. The tv wasn't hooked up, no humidifiers. What was provided was the lowest grade available and wasn't clean. We will NEVER use Vacasa again.

Good location for small family

First off the property is cute and has good amenities. The laundry is shared but in this price range that is to be expected. The kitchen and living space is well appointed (your welcome for the reusable coffee filter) and the views from the balcony are pristine. Sadly, the beds are in dire need of replacement and make all kinds of noises through the night. If you’re coming by car bring foam topper(s). The loft was painful to climb after a day of skiing, but that’s part of the intrigue. As for the location, it is walkable to town as it’s not far up the mountain however I would not call this “ski-in/ski-out.” Perhaps I have a strict definition but it’s quite a ways uphill to get to the Snowflake lift (about 1/3 mile which is a lot in ski boots). All in all—assuming a) the beds are replaced or b) you have foam toppers for 2x twins and a double— I would highly recommend this location for summer stays and price-sensitive ski vacations.

Good condo, not exactly ski-in/out

I thought the condo itself was great and well set up for our family, but I think it's misleading to call it ski-in/ski-out. You can schlep up a five minute walk to ski from it to a shuttle to a lift OR you can keep schlepping up even further to cross country ski and then walk to a lift. You can however ski most of the way home and then walk five minutes down to the condo entrance. I would have selected a different option if this were more clear up front. I texted the property manager a question during our stay and got zero response, which is the first time that's ever happened to me in a condo rental situation. Finally the second bedroom is an open loft, which isn't clear from the listing, so there was no door available for our daughters' room, which meant when they went to bed, so did we. All in all the condo was clean and well maintained, but I think these details were missing from the overall posting and would have impacted my rental choice.

Run down and not great.

The location is the best part of this property: it is right off 4 o'clock and pretty close to town. If you are just looking for a crash pad to sleep at between ski runs, this will meet your needs but if you plan on spending much time in the place you should look elsewhere. The building / complex was pretty run down and in need of an update. The hot tub was dirty and not well maintained (deck was covered in ice and almost unsafe). The condo itself was dirty when we arrived (hair on the beds and pillows, floor gritty and clearly un-vaccumed, just dirty feeling). The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the hall and outside. The metal circular stair to the loft is insanely loud and will wake everyone up if used at night. There was no humidifier and the condo got super dry. There are virtually no cooking tools, so think about bringing your own (pizza cutter, but no pan; two small pots, etc.). We had two adults and two kids and felt like we were living on top of each other. If we were using this for anything other than a place to crash between ski sessions I would have been pretty upset.

Keep looking and stay away from Vacasa managed properties

Things that can’t change: location, this is not ski out at all. It a 30 min trek uphill to the Snowflake lift. Size, master bedroom is tiny and no space for suitcases. Lights outside of Master bedroom are very bright and you need a sleep mask if you want to sleep in the dark. Heat, entire building is hot, most people had windows open during a cold spell and even with heat on lowest setting it heats up unevenly in the condo. Things that CAN be changed: cleaning needs to be better. We had an old guest towel left behind the bedroom door and blue toothpaste was on the bathroom door frame. Dirt in corners, dirty coffee mugs, not a good cleaning between guest. Maintenance: we had plumbing issues which where not addressed. My husband had to pull out a huge hairball from the main tub in order to get it to drain on the 1st day. Kids bath and sink drained very slow as well. Kitchen sink drain had a massive clog that gushed water out all over the kitchen. The drain needed to be snaked and it took Vacasa 2 days to get it snaked! Which resulted in not being able to use the kitchen sink for 2 full days! Then the person that showed up to snake it, used the toilet and washed his plumbing tools in the bathtub! Left brown stains all over the tub! Vacasa never sent someone to clean it after they promised they would and profusely apologized. Lots of apologies, no action on anything. In 1 week we had 4 days of not being able to use the condo with basic utility. 2 days of not kitchen use and 2 days of no main bathroom use. Not only that, sink they promised to come clean it, we put all the towels in the tub so we could get fresh towels and since they never came, we then had no towels to use! We had NO service from Vacasa.

Cute condo, excellent location, Vacasa cleaning crew needs some guidance

We loved the close proximity of this condo to the main town on Breckenridge, we were able to walk everywhere! The condo is up about a dozen steps and from there you'll walk into the entry with a full bathroom, queen bedroom, small kitchen area, and family room. Go up spiral steps to the next floor and you'll find a loft room with 2 twin beds and a full bathroom. The space itself was very nice and comfortable inside, they provided soaps, shampoos, dish detergent/soap, and a few trash bags. Other than that, you have to bring in all your spices, oils, etc, as this is basically just a condo that is rented out week after week. We meet a neighbor on one day when the entire-building fire alarm kept going off (yes, multiple times in one day), and she said many people rent out their condos so you have new neighbors each week. There is a condo owner who lives to the right off the back deck and they own a dog who is left to bark all day long while the owners are out. They leave the windows opens so we heard this dog nonstop for hours upon hours whenever we were in the house. Not sure how often this person is there at his place (we were told he doesn't rent it out), but obviously had we known there would be a rude next door neighbor with a loud dog all day/night, we likely would not have rented here. There are signs posted in the condo building about keeping dogs quiet, but this still happened the entire 3 nights we stayed. Another thing to point out - the Vacasa cleaning crew came in the door 3 different days without once knocking first. One time our children were home along and someone came in, which startled them because they would never let a stranger in without us there. The other two times we were at the condo as they just swiped their card and came in to clean (we extended our trip a day and they didn't have an updated schedule). But still, I had just gotten out of the shower, which is across the hall from the bedroom, directly at the front door. A knock would be appropriate before anyone enters a building, but this team does not knock. Then the last day they let themselves in an hour before our scheduled check-out and startled us all again. This most definitely needs to be addressed by Vacasa, as we did not feel safe leaving the kids (teens) home alone in a new town for fear of who would walk in, and when.

Beautiful Breck Condo

This is the perfect getaway space! Quiet and comfortable, and super close to amazing shopping and dining. One of the many highlights is the deck overlooking a calming, rushing stream. There is a hot tub and sauna on site as well. So beautiful.

Outstanding!

We had a wonderful respite at this great condo. It was the perfect location. Two blocks from the main street and a wide variety of hiking trails that were walkable. There is a lovely stream that you can see and hear from the balcony. This is a very comfortable, well appointed and well cared for property. We can’t wait to return!

Sorta Ski-in/Ski-out

This unit is fine, nothing special. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are small, but you're paying for location. Be advised, this is a ski-in property, right off of the Four O'Clock trail, below the Snowflake lift. You have to navigate a steep exit from the trail to ski in, which also means you have to hike up that same steep stretch to get out. We found it easier to ski across the bridge just up the hill and cut through parking lots to Four O'Clock Road, where you can catch the shuttle. Had I known I'd be shuttling every morning, I likely would have selected a less expensive place. Ski in was convenient, though. Basic items were there (toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, coffee filters). Plenty of plates & glasses. Knife supply was limited to steak knives and a bread knife, making any kind of food prep a challenge. Also, the bathrooms have hair dryers, which is not noted in the listing. We had two maintenance issues - the main door was falling off the hinges and there was no power to the main bathroom outlets. Vacasa was timely in connecting us with the property manager. He fixed the door right away, but ignored several requests about the outlet.

ski in/ski out not for Dec snow and only expert skiiers

The hot tub is fun so my kids said give more than one star! Beds are all bad. Had first allergy attack. Pillows and quilts dirty. 3 wine glasses. Carpet torn. Bring your own TP. Make your own parking pass or call Vacassa several times. Skis need to be kept in car. Ski lockers could easily be added to building. Vacassa does not respond to emails. Need to ski across deep creek to and from lowest 4oclock run. Photo of bridge in advertisement was completely iced over and that becomes the plan B trail before the property creek crossing when the lowest 4 oclock run is closed by Breck or you can ski through others private parking lots! This has to be the highest ROI I have seen to date Vacassa! Please send a refund for the false advertising?

Compared to more expensive places, I got what I paid for

The title basically says it all. A couple things were frustrating (upstairs beds not completely made and downstairs bathroom sink was super clogged - clogged enough that cleaners should have caught it and addressed it.) Also it was a bit frustrating that there was not a contact number for guests to call to get issues fixed besides the number that was also for people calling about prices, making reservations, etc...I felt like waiting on hold for 11 minutes to get the clog addressed was rediculous. Otherwise the unit was ok...I'd grade my stay overall as a B/B+.

Nice place, not Ski out

Nice place for 4 people. To get to the slopes you must walk 10 minutes, partly uphill to the snowflake lift so this is not a full ski in/out. It is walk out, ski in.

Wildwood Stay

Really comfortable in the unit and had great access to Breckenridge. The river runs right behind the building, so we really enjoyed leaving the windows open at night! Walked 2 blocks to Main St, which was blocked from traffic for open restaurant service. Well enforced - though everyone was compliant - mask mandate. Wildwood was a great base for enjoying town and several area hikes.

Great little condo, did what it needed to do!

Just a couple of things that were more little annoyances than anything else. One of the outdoor chairs on the balking was ripped so we couldn’t sit on both but since it was winter time we didn’t spend much time out there. The light switch in the master bedroom didn’t turn on any lights and one of the lights next to the bed didn’t work either so when we went to bed we always had to turn on the one that worked rather than just utilizing the switch by the door. Kitchen had everything we needed and the living area was warm and cozy.

The support staff for Vacasa

Whenever we needed support about our rental, the Vacasa staff stand ready and waiting to help. In addition, the location of this property to downtown Breckenridge is ideal. We did not have to get in the car at all! That makes for a great vacation!

Nice place to stay at a fair price

This condo was as advertised. A short walk to the snowflake lift and nearly ski back to the place down four o clock run. 1/4 - 1/2 mile walk to Main Street. I would definitely stay here again. Could use nicer mattresses and a little bigger t.v., but the essentials were there.
