"The Three Cocks Hotel is a truly special place — an independent, family-run gem where you can feel the passion and care in everything they do. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the stunning interiors to the welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The downstairs area is beautifully designed — perfect for unwinding by the fire with a drink after a day exploring. The receptionist was excellent: warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was outstanding, with quality ingredients and generous portions. The location couldn’t be better — close to both Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, making it ideal for exploring the area. Our room was immaculate, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely, well-designed bathroom. It’s clear that every aspect of this hotel has been created with care and attention to detail. A wonderful stay from start to finish — I can’t recommend The Three Cocks Hotel highly enough. "

"From start to finish the stay was exceptional. To add a little icing on the stay a Welsh male voice choir was present to sing before dinner. Rooms, Service, food all Fantastic!"

"Nice clean large room. The fridge was a big bonus. Excellent shower which was much appreciated after a long day walking. We were led to believe from the hotel.com web site that there is Wifi only in public areas but in fact there was wifi all over the the guest house including the rooms. And it was super fast wifi. I was able watched Netflix on my ipad and all the football matches I wanted to watch. Moyra (the owner), is a lovely friendly lady, as her staff. Breakfast was fabulous, continental and cooked what ever you choose or both. We will definitely come back as we have few more walks to complete in the area. Thank you Moyra for a lovley weekend. "Booked it same day, the room was on the 4th floor and as it was during the heatwave, was a bit warm, they did provide us with couple of fans that helped. It was a lovely room with a sofa, TV and vanity table. A nice view of trees and sunset. It was clean everywhere. "
