Great place on the Lake!

We loved this place! I especially loved the granite uplifts on the property, very grounding! We stayed and played outside a lot. It was so private. When we were inside we loved the recliners in front of the TV, it was perfect for football watching! I would definitely return!

Peaceful waterfront house

Size was just right for 2 elderly parents and family of 4. We loved being right on the water. Slope down to the water was tricky for my father but stairs and railing were a plus! Read reviews regarding having issues with grass burrs; yes they're everywhere but it's nothing new to us. Kids asked to stray here again and probably would without our older parents.

Relaxing family vacay

This was a perfect spot for our family of 5 and our dog! Our children enjoyed sp ending time swimming, fishing and kayaking while also having some of their usual creature comforts like WiFi. Mom and Dad were able to relax and enjoy spending quality family time. The backyard was fenced in which was great for our dog as well. The amenities included all the comforts of home.

Nice riverside getaway

Overall the property was as described and in good, clean condition. The interior has new appliances and the propane grill on the porch is very new. Downsides include nonfunctional window blinds and subpar cookware. We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet Area

My wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of this property. It’s up on a hill and has access to the Colorado River. We could walk down the hill to the pier and fish. Several times there were some deer that came into the yard. We could even hear birds singing. It has a nice big open area to watch tv and relax. One of the bathrooms has a great walk-in glass shower. Overall our stay was pleasant and relaxing.

Wonderful home and relaxing view BUT....

The home was quaint, nice and clean. Everything in the house was great. Loved the sunsets and it's quiet and peaceful. BUT...If you have a child or animal with you, the sand spurs are outrageous. Getting up and down to the dock might be a challenge for younger or older folks, especially at night. The porch and dock need a power wash badly. Bring your own chairs and Kleenex. I swear that Vacasa in Spanish means "No Kleenex".

The house is updated nicely with very nice appliances. The beds are comfortable. It was clean, however more odds and ends could be available in the kitchen. Bring your own kleenex, and potholders if you plan on using the oven. So many deer! We loved seeing the deer multiple times per day. One morning about 50 geese were snacking on the lawn between the house and the river. If you bring a dog, the yard, front and back, has lots of stickers/sand burs so be careful. This area of Texas has scorpions so don't hang outside at night if they make you squeamish.

Overall great mini vacation for the price.

We really had a great time, location was great, house had nearly everything and everything you could imagine. We loved the big inflatable island attached to the dock and spent most of our time there. Rooms were large. We appreciated being able to wash towels one night as there were newer washer dryer set and detergent. We had a family of deer come to the front yard one morning. Every kind of pot and pan you could imagine in the kitchen, 2 types of coffee machines for both pods and ground coffee, cups, dishes, silverware and all the cooking utensils, aluminum foil, cling wrap and a dual oven…but NO oven mitt. Had to use the the kitchen towel. And there were no extra kitchen trash bags. Had to go to the HEB 15 minutes away. Inside of house was super clean and tidy but the backyard had empty cans and water bottles, and used fishing line on the back porch. My daughter tried to use the jet tub and about 100 pieces of mold came shooting out into her bathtub so that was an no go. Only other complaint was the itchy sheets in the master bed. Mattress itself was super comfy but those sheets need to be replaced. We appreciated that Vacasa who manages the property was very responsive before and after our trip but during we didn’t get great response. Overall we had a blast and for the price we paid, I think it was definitely worth it. But if prices went up we probably would look elsewhere for next summer. Fingers crossed!

Just what we were looking for!

Nice place if you’re looking for simplicity and comfort. Great location. Semi-isolated. WiFi and phone service was an issue but every thing else was just what we were looking for.
