Comfortable home, but a few drawbacks
This was my first time in Cape Charles and booking a Vrbo or any of its kind. Overall, the home was comfortable, with an open floor plan. The location wasn't what I was expecting. The walk to nearby shops and restaurants was a bit further than I thought, so we had to make sure we had comfortable shoes and cool clothing. Just outside the building where the bedroom windows were located, was what looked like the beginning of a junk yard. Needless to say, I was disappointed with the view. The inside of this home was spacious and well-laid out. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware. The dining room table was perfect and there was even a washer/dryer combo unit. We were surprised to find that there was hair on both bathroom floors when we got there, especially since we were told that we could not get early access because the cleaning crew needed time to clean the place. Thankfully, there was a broom and dustpan in the house we used to dust off the floor boards and sweep up the mess. There was even one of those handheld dental flossers that came from under the bathroom vanity. The only other part we weren't happy with was the thermostat. The house was warm when we got there (warm weather outside that day), so we turned on the air conditioning and after returning from dinner, it still wasn't cooled down to the temperature we wanted.
