"Let’s start with something positive, which is that the restaurant staff is very very kind and they try to do their best to make up for the deficiencies of other departments. I trace A LOT and sty in many different hotels. This one is 2-stars at best. Housekeeping is minimal and they take less than 5mins for the entire apartment (superficial cleaning). All of the facilities feel very cheap and outdated. Hair dryer wasn’t working and the AC smells like in an old motel. Wifi reception is horrendous, there are no amenities like shower gels etc. The pool area seem neglected and not well taken care of. There also seem to be water damage in some of the hallways, since the paint is peeling off of the walls. Breakfast selection is the same everyday and both fruit and meat selection are everything but appealing (think of pineapple from the can a pink looking rubber that is supposed to be bacon I guess). I feel sorry for the waitresses for saying this but stay away from this place! I would probs lay shut it down fo a year or year and a half, remodel it completely and than start again from scratch. Otherwise, it’s only going to progress to worse"

"We enjoyed a lovely week at the villa. It was well appointed and clean with lots of space for 6 of us. The pool, views and games room were particular highlights. Castro Marim is only minutes away. Seville is only 90mins drive for a day trip. The location is remote but peaceful, note a car is needed."

"From making the booking to checking out today, the whole experience has been outstanding. Had a wonderful family holiday with lots of new memories to take home with us. The location was perfect. "The most wonderful villa. Everything was absolutely perfect for our family of 10, ranging in ages from 70 to 2. Check in was seamless as we were met and given a tour of this enormous property. So much room and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We made great use of the barbecue and lovely kitchen. Entertainment for everyone, great tvs and wifi. Great to have ample bath and pool towels. Comfortable beds and full air conditioning, which we were grateful for. Most of our time was spent outside in the pool, morning, noon and night and we chose to eat outside as well. Able to stroll to the very small village store which had all essential and lovely fresh bread in the morning. The villa is easily accessible from the main roads and only 5 minutes from larger towns and beaches. Uber works very well and very reasonable in this area and we took advantage of this for nights out. Our hostess Christine went out of her way to make this holiday amazing even before we arrived, much appreciated. Perfect 70th birthday and we so hope we can return here. "
