“We had an amazing stay at the Strater Hotel! The hotel is very historic and is so nice.The staff was incredibly helpful. We scheduled some time in the hot tub which was lovely! It is right in downtown Durango, so walking to restaurants, bars and shopping is easy from the hotel. Highly recommend a stay at the Strater!”

“The walls are super thin, I could hear the neighbors conversations and their pack of dogs barking in the morning. CAPPIN' on the Amenities, there was no blackout curtains and no drink tokens for the last nights stay. I expected more for the amount paid. ”

“Each room has a mini split AC but we didn’t need it when the low around 40. Every room also has a ceiling room which is really nice when traveling Many restaurants are within walking distance. We ate at the Italian restaurant that was right down stairs - it was great!! Chandler was so wonderful!! Helped us carrying our bags to our second floor room in the annex by the train (there is no elevator for those rooms) We loved staying at the General Palmer ”

“Great place to stay and a nice view of the river. Our room had a balcony off the room overlooking the river which was nice. Easy location to walk or drive into the town. We love staying here!”

“We stayed for 4 nights and it was a good experience. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room and bathroom were clean. Free breakfast was a plus. Hotel is near main downtown area and takes only a few minutes to get there. Overall, it was a great stay.”

“Solid location in Durango with walk ability to some restaurants and morning coffee. Room was clean, staff kind, and overall I'd book again. Not close enough to walk to downtown, but really solid Adventure Inn based on my other experiences.”

“Pool and hot area clean and kept well. Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom somewhat clean there was a contact on the shower wall that wasn’t ours! The night stand draw would not stay closed has to rig it with paper not open and hit our legs, the thermostat on the wall could not read it! Nothing didn’t know if was on heat or cooling or the temp of the room! ”
