Great weekend with the girls!

I booked this for my friend’s 40th as a small group. Overall a great property with rooms and space for us all, communication throughout was great with fast replies. My only concerns were the living room rug didn’t smell great, which was a shame as we had evenings in. And the pool was ‘heated’ however it took a good 20mins to fully immerse ourselves as it was still quite cold! Saying that, I’d stay here again. We went to Drifters cafe for brunch after we checked out; would recommend!

Wonderful house for long weekend stay with friends

Perfect for what we wanted. Great open plan kitchen and living space with sliding doors leading onto the garden, BBQ, comfortable beds, separate snug/tv room for kids and right on the beach in walking distance to cafes and fish and chips! A real treat. Most places we have stayed have do’s and don’ts notices and rules up but this is clearly a family holiday house with lots of personal things and it felt very relaxed and welcoming like you were staying at a friend’s house. Our only slight negative was dealing through a property agent meant communication over the weekend out of office hours was slower (we prefer to have a mobile or WhatsApp we can message than having to phone) and the cleaning could have been better. The agents were helpful when we called and did send maintenance quickly when we needed some light bulbs replacing. We had to ask for bed linen for the sofa bed, the windows were not cleaned and the pool was only cleaned once a week and not between stays. We did request the pool be cleaned (it just needed a vacuum) and the agent said they would arrange pool maintenance to come but they didn’t. It wasn’t a big problem but for the amount being charged for the house I think the pool and the windows, at least in the main living area, should be cleaned before guest’s arrival. There was a paddle board which the kids made good use of and the hot water outdoor shower was very welcome after coming in from the sea. A really fun house!
