「amazing property, lovely staff and fun activities!」

「Such a lovely property, in a beautiful building, beautiful area, and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spotless and tidy and the beds, comfortable. We can't recommend this property enough. The only slight sadness is that the bathrooms are so small (can't be helped) and the main room doesn't serve breakfast. While it is offered in bedrooms, the common room on the ground floor is beautiful and larger, with the perfect table to invite people to greet one another and build community. 」

「We spent a very relaxing w/e at Southernhay House. The rooms are luxurious, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff are welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Bar and restaurant are both beautifully designed with many references to the building's historic past. The food was excellent also. 」

「Die Empfangsdame war unmöglich. Sie hat mir einfach ein Stück Papier gereicht, ohne irgendwas zu sagen. Ich musste sie fragen, was ich damit machen soll. Sie hat pro forma gefragt, wie die Reise bisher gewesen sei. Dann habe ich die Schlüssel gekriegt, ohne weiter Anweisung, wo sich das Zimmer befindet und wo die Aufzüge Sind. Unmöglich. Sonst war das Personal in Ordnung, aber nicht besonders freundlich.」

「Strange checkin process, reception is at the Hub not in the Hotel, I may have missed communication on this but a lot of walking about just to check in Car chargers need bettering, current type have no instructions and no staff (5 of them) knew how they worked or more importantly released the cable!」

「Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights, on the first night with were arriving at 8.10pm just after the kitchen normally closes. We rang up and nothing was too much trouble, we preordered over the phone and they held off on preparing our meal until we arrived. Food was amazing and we had a lovely few drinks in the pub which has such a warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the log burner, and was a great size. A great stay, we would definitely come again! 」

「It's a very friendly hotel. The room was clean & cozy. The restaurant also very good and I didn't need to find a place to eat. Excellent for a night or two and explore the nearby area.」
