“Located next to good amenities and town centre, but quite busy road to front so can be quite noisy via windows day and night. Bed was clean and crisp, but bath and sink had hairs from previous guest. Car park to rear with 10/12 spaces. Lots of floor boards creaked. ”

“Quiet cosy room above a pub serving great food. Always a warm welcome by the great staff. Stay here twice a year as it ticks all the tight boxes. Good car park, comfy room and great shower with reasonable Wi-Fi for the area.”

“This is certainly not a place you will stumble across on your way to somewhere else, but it's certainly worth a visit. A great boutique hotel with comfortable and interesting rooms. Great surroundings and wonderful view across the Wirral. A menu which is significantly more interesting than the standard 'pub menu'. The prawn pil pil was particularly tasty. And if you're into non-meat meals, the pithivier is well worth a try. Very tasty breakfast too. We'll definitely be back!”

“Good location a few minutes drive out of city centre. Staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are a decent size and very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast in the morning (not included) and reasonably priced for the quality of product used. Would recommend and would stay again if returning to Chester ”
