“Very close to the beach”

“Beach view was only good thing. No ice machine on property. Big gigantic outside roach entered through big open space under door. Two other medium size roaches crawling in tub and floor, several baby roaches found. I bought bug spray , cleaning spray and paper towels and tried to clean down anything I was apt to touch. Did not feel safe because doors were old and locks could easily have been pushed in or open. ”

“Clean room, hot tub was in operable but understand repairs need to happen. Breakfast was good for my 15 year old. This was our second stay. The last was 5 years ago and it was just as nice. We will be back.”

“It is in a small quiet town. Very nice. It was clean for the most part. Could stand a good deep cleaning. In the corners and such. Get the hard water stain off of things. The bathroom door could use a replacement. The backside of the door was peeling.”

“Our room overlooked the pool, lazy river and the beach. We had a fantastic time, but there wasnt time to do it all. Next stay will be longer with higher potential for warmer weather. Great location fir fun, food and a variety of entertainment, in addition to a great beach.”

“There are 2 buildings. The first one where the office is located, seems to be for weekly rentals and run down. The facade of the front, looks great, which is what's on expedia, but it doesn't show the outside rooms of that building, so when we pulled up, we felt very deceived and apprehensive. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly. Had to walk to another building through the side parking lot. This entrance was secured with a key card which eased the concern. “We booked this hotel because it was near family we were visiting and it had decent reviews. What a terrible experience. The lady at the front desk when we checked in seemed highly annoyed that we were bothering her. “Complained about hearing loud neighbors through the adjoining door; however, was told by desk associate that nothing could be done and to check back at 11 am. After the people next door were still being loud at 1:30 am we made the decision to switch hotels. The next day we returned to Island Vista and explained our issue, the desk associate couldn't believe how we were treated and was apologetic; however, the manager, although he could hear our conversation, couldn't be bothered to come out of……
