We had the pleasure to stay at the Red House for 10 days during the Têt in 2024. The owners, a wonderful family, went above and beyond to welcome us and accompany us in the time during our stay and the Holiday, where not much is available around Vietnam. They even bought a birthday cake for our boy! Breakfast is very good and always served with a plate of fruits. The family room is spacious and clean. We could use the outdoor kitchen when we wanted. Bicycles were free and made moving about Hoi An a breeze. Don't miss out on a bicycle tour through the rice fields!

Really pretty and clean pool. The garden is lovely as well. The people who run the establishment are friendly, incredibly helpful and eager to please. They threw the guests a little party and fed us great food and gave us free beers. It was very generous of them. We would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic honeymoon stop convenient to all Hoi an

Overall, the service, attention to detail and aesthetic are almost as luxurious as a five star resort, but the added bonus is you get a closer, more intimate, authentic Hoi An experience. To start- it's stunning. Having just come from the busy bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, it's a welcoming and quiet oasis. The wonderful people at red house helped us arrange pickup in da nang as soon as we were off the train. The location of the homestay is just off a back road via the main drag. Their location is fantastic because everything (beach to rice fields to old Town) is easy to get to, but you can still relax when you need an easy day in. Additionally, they found out it was our honeymoon and we got surprise flowers and cake! Totally unexpected when you stay only at hostels and homestays, but so appreciated. The breakfast was fantastic and all the foods were so fresh. The people were even better. They'll help you with absolutely everything and anything (other guests mentioned even getting brought special foods and teas when they ran into stomach issues and couldn't get to the market themselves). Free bikes allow you to get around easily while motorbikes are easily accessible for a very reasonable daily fee. The other guests were nothing short of wonderful. Had great conversation with everyone there and learned a trick or two and the must do activities (and more importantly... Local Food and drink specialties to have) that made our Hoi an stay absolutely fantastic.

Red room homestay - value for money

Stayed 1 night at the red house - very good value for money - staff are so friendly & helpful. Room has damp on walls & the bathroom is a wet room type of room with open shower in room next to basin. Breakfast was fantastic & food is was really good. They grow all their own fruit and veggies in their garden next to the breakfast area. It was fantastic to see. 1 km from old town - but they provide free bicycles to use to get there:

Lien is a fantastic host! Rooms are big and clean, and there's free bikes to get into town on. We were there over Christmas and they made us a great Christmas dinner.

Visited in 2015 and never forgot wonderful time

The host family is wonderful and welcoming. We received a cool drink when we arrived. The accommodations are clean and roomy. We had the family suite. Bicycles are available for use to ride into town. The family invited us for dinner on our last night there. So nice to experience Vietnamese meal with them and chat about our stay. The next morning the family took the time to wake up early to say good bye to us and provide a snack for our journey.

A pleasant surprise

The Red House Homestay,was not what we would normally stay in but we were really surprised,the family were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble,they washed and ironed for us and not at the usual hotel prices. We and the other guests(3) were invited to the family dinner at no charge. The room was very clean and spacious,unfortunately the TV was faulty and could not be changed, but no big deal. WiFi acceptable. building work around the homestay was intrusive, but beyond the control of the owners. Free bikes made this a very enjoyable stay

A home away from home

From the moment we arrived at Red House Homestay we were looked after with great care. The property is immaculate, well located and the family can assist with every need you may have. For us that included airport transfers, laundry, bike, and tour info. A highlight was being invited to lunch for cao lau! Yum. A fun and relaxed stay. We will be back.
