"The hotel is a Japanese style resort by the Lake, ("traditional" and "old world style"; We had to take off our shoes at the hotel entrance). Yet it had all the modern amenities expected these days. My wife and I stayed in the Premier Suite recently. It was very spacious and had a private Onsen. The living room had a lovely view of the tall trees lining the Lake, and 2 large massage arm chairs to enjoy the sunset view. Dinner was served in the Suite, kaiseki style, on the large dining table....

"The room view was great, and the weather was great on the first day, which is essential to enjoy the view of Mt. Yotei. The room was clean but not air-conditioned. Houses in Hokkaido are designed primarily for winter, so it wasn’t cool enough during high summer. Considering the level of global warming, I suppose an air-con will be a must in Hokkaido now... unless the present trend reversed and the climate gets cooler. Otherwise the stay was great!!!"

"The hotel was really nice place to stay with many different kinds of hot springs. The dinner buffet was great as well the breakfast. The first staff who took care of our check-in (I think she was Chinese lady) spoke super-fast Japanese that I had a tough time understanding (by the way, I am Japanese). I know that check-in can be busy with people waiting for their turn but wish that she spoke a bit slower. Otherwise, it is a wonderful place to stay! "
