"We loved this hotel, staff were so friendly. The check-in process was lovely, the entrance is really quite an experience. We were upgraded to the suite, which was spacious and well equipped. The view to the sea was just beautiful, make an effort to see the sunrise, it’s wonderful. The breakfast really was 5* so much choice and always refreshed, and freshly cooked. It really was a very good breakfast.
The location was a little further up the beach, but having taken out a bike and cycled the whole beach area, we felt that we were not missing out on anything. It’s about a 10min walk to the icon mall, and there are many choices of eateries around the hotel, head out the back for a more authentic choice.
Pool is busy and people do reserve sun beds before they go for breakfast, so can get very busy. But the pool was clean and very large..
The beach opposite is really very beautiful and well maintained, lots of local sellers along the beach front too, which was great to see and support.
Overall a fab hotel and beautiful part of Bail, but just to say, if you are looking for culture, in comparison to Ubud, this area is much more commercialised, however the locals have integrated with the tourists and you can really embrace their culture through food stalls and Warung’s… They are wonderful friendly people, and I miss their positive spirt…"
